LONG MEADOWS SURVEY & NEW WORK

USAV will soon be heading back to Lampasas to resume survey work on the Long Meadows project.  Stay tuned for updates.  We are hoping to do some test excavations this spring and will have more news soon.

I will also be traveling to the Yucatan in March to do some study as well.  I cannot wait to visit Chichenitza and other area Mayan sites.  Ever since I took Mayan archaeology, I have been fascinated by their civilization.  I'd like to hit some other sites like Tulum and Mayopan, especially the latter, since some scholarship indicates that the Maya worshipped a form of Pan (wrap your mind around that one).  More reports to come.
